Information About This Website And The Human Behind It

Who are you?

Hello! My name is Christoff. Nice to meet you.

What is this website's purpose?

The primary purpose of this website is to write about technology related hobbies, while progressing in those hobbies for my own enjoyment (any functional/“productive” benefit is coincidental and undesired).

What I’ll be focusing on for the foreseeable future (not in any order):

  • Coding a BBS that will likely be of interest to no one
  • Coding amazing programs (eventually) for Commodore 64 demoscene
  • Security research (Android, NetBSD kernel, malware authoring)
  • Reverse engineering in some capacity
  • Howtos for random things, probably

Like most blogs, I am sure my interests will change over time, but not going to change past posts. This page will change.

Christoff, how do I contact you?

Drop me a line and say hello!

What brought you here? What are you all about and what are you obsessing about right now?

What is some more information about you?

Career

I worked as a professional programmer and *nix sysadmin/DBA for 20 years before pivoting into offensive security where I have worked as a pentester since 2020.

Hacking

I like to hack things. I have been using a Unix-like operating system as my primary daily driver workstation since 1995 (primarily GNU/Linux, OpenBSD, NetBSD, and macOS), and have done some really cool things with computing.

Personal Life

I live with my beautiful girlfriend and our five cats. We love to go on exploring adventures and play 2-player games, like Arkham Horror the Card Game with a lot of 3D-printed upgrades and card sleeves shown below.

Update: We ended up abandoning the game because the rules felt too complicated and neither of us ever felt like we understood them fully. It ultimately was imagination inducing but the rules complexities stole the fun away.

I also love science fiction novels, especially those from the 1960s and 1970s! Here is a recent used bookstore haul below.
